Boarded a boat for an overnight cruise to New York City where they boarded a train to Philadelphia and toured the city. Went to Washington , D.C. staying at the National Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue. The return trip was a train to New York City and the boat back to Providence. Returned to Maynard via the train by Friday afternoon.
