A sepia photo of John R. Underwood and his wife, Pauline Miller, and children, Herbert and Jean. John was an electrician with the Assabet Mills. He and his family did relocate to Providence RI. In 1921, John was working on an elevator on a job in Providence when an employee unknowingly started the elevator which pinned him. This resulted in his death in May 1921. He was buried in the Stow cemetery.
