Title
Centennial Burying the Razor Ceremony
Description
In its final resting place, covered with tears and after shave lotion, the casket awaits the moment when it will finally find lasting peace.
John Dulledge (1871-1971) was laid to rest Friday, January 1, 1971 in a small plot in downtown Maynard.
Although the weather was less than ideal, a fine turnout of Brothers of the Brush attended the ceremony to officially announce the cessation of their shaving for the next six months.
The Razor was buried at Memorial Park near the corner of Nason and Summer Streets.
The casket was designed by Jack Knowles.
