1871-1971
100th ANNIVERSARY
CENTENNIAL BELLES
RULES AND REGULAR REGULATIONS:
1. Let it be known that we will be the MAIN CHAPTER of the "MAYNARD CENTENNIAL BELLES" and officers required are a Chairwoman, Secretary, Treasurer and Historian.
2. The Main Centennial Belles Charter will be composed of any interested of female (minimum age: 18 years) resident of the Town of Maynard who has signed up as of June 11, 1970.
3. Any other individual desiring membership or other groups/organizations including Junior Belles may form Belles Charters with representatives welcome to attend any or all Main Charter Belles meetings
4. There will be an Initiation Fee of $1.00 for a MAYNARD CENTENNIAL BELLE badge and card.
5. Any Belle late for a meeting will be fined 10 cents.
6. Each Belle will pay 25 cents dues at each meeting.
7. Any Belle missing more than 3 meetings in succession without just cause may be relieved of duty. Notification of absence should be made in advance of meeting to one of the Belles so they can properly report it at the meeting.
8. Permission to speak is gained by raising your hand and being recognized by the Chairwoman and any Belle speaking without recognition will be fined 5 cents.
9. Any Belle not wearing her badge to meetings will be fined 25 cents.
10. Any Belle caught without her badge on her person within the town limits with the exception of her home or property will be fine 25 cents.
11. Any Belle not completing an assigned task will be fined one dollar.
12. Any Belle not wearing her costume at all times from FRIDAY, JUNE 26, 1971 through SUNDAY, JULY 4, 1971 inclusive, with the exception of her home or property, will be fined one dollar. If for any reason a Belleās employer will not allow her to wear these costume dresses to work, a Belle may receive a permit at $1.00 upon notification from her employer.
13. Any Belles attending MAYNARD CENTENNIAL BELLES' functions must be in an a costume dress or be fined 25 cents.
14. Outside fines will be levied by a MAYNARD CENTENNIAL BELLE by means of a receipt. One half to violator and the other to be turned in with the money at the next Belles meeting. If the Bell leveling the fine for violation does not turn in the money at the next meeting she will be fined 25 cents.
15. Fines from above will be reserved separately from the Main Charter Belles sponsored projects and its designated use will be discussed at the end of the Maynard Centennial celebration.
16. The above rules and regulations will be observed at all times effective May 8, 1970.
