Description
The combined Police and Fire Station was built in 1955 at the intersection of Summer and Acton Streets, 1 Summer Street. The following were instrumental in the project: Leo F. Mullin, R. Frank Punch, Harold R. Wilcox, William Naylor, David L. Pallian, John Sokolowski, Ernest Mariano
The fire department occupied the building from 1955 to 2022 when a new station was built at 30 Sudbury Street. The police department vacated the station in 2009 for a new location at 197 Main Street (former library and adjacent to Town Building). The 1955 Police/Fire building was sold by the Town of Maynard to a private party in 2025.
The Plaque hung in the vestibule of the Police Station.
