Description
Crandall Building Blocks were sold from 1867 to 1905. The company was founded by Charles Crandall in Montrose, PA. The set of wood shapes were set in a finger-jointed wooden box with sliding lid, paper label glued to top of lid, "CRANDALL'S IMPROVED BUILDING BLOCKS FOR CHILDREN/PATENTED JANUARY 5TH 1867/1." Along with the blocks were drawings of suggested structures for building.
This set of building blocks belonged to Lucius H. Maynard, Maynard, Mass. Lucius has written the date December 25, 1873.
