Introduction

This book was created to honor the veterans buried at St. Bridget's Cemetery in Maynard, Massachusetts, and to preserve their names, service, and resting places as a lasting record of gratitude and remembrance. Within these pages are the names, birth and death dates, branches of service, and burial locations of those who served our country with courage, sacrifice, and dedication. Each entry represents not only a life lived, but a commitment to service that deserves enduring recognition and thanks.

The information contained in this book was carefully gathered by Kim Lalli and Brenda Sullivan, who walked the cemetery tirelessly, recording each marker with care and respect. This project required many hours of dedication and attention to detail, and every effort was made to document the information as accurately and completely as possible. Members of the Maynard Emblem Club #205 also contributed to this effort in a variety of ways. Sandra Hughey provided invaluable assistance by helping to fill in missing details through her expertise in military ancestry, along with support from Maynard Veterans Service Officer Peter Harvell.

While this work has been completed to the best of their ability, it is possible that a name or detail may have been unintentionally missed. For this, the authors offer their sincere apologies and ask for understanding. knowing that the intent of this book is rooted in honor, remembrance, and deep respect for all who served.

May this book serve as a lasting tribute to the veterans of St. Bridget's Cemetery and as a reminder that their service will never be forgotten.
