It is hereby voted that commencing Sept 7, 1909, the compensation of the teachers in the Maynard public schools shall be determined as follows; in the grades teachers in their first year or service will be paid $75 and for each full school year for the three succeeding years shall receive an annual increase of $25 on the completion of said year but in the event of any year not being completed by the teacher except on account of sickness this increase will be void for that particular year. When the maximum salary of $550 has been reached a bonus of $25 will be paid to each teacher for each full year in the employ of the school department. In other words she shall receive the sum of $75 yearly $25 of which will be forfeited in case the teacher leaves the employ of the Maynard school department at any time during the year. The same proceedure is to be adopted in the high school with the maximum and minimum set at $700 and $600 respectively. It is further voted that this bonus will be paid with the last payment of wages in the regular school year.
It is further voted that this is not to include principals or assistant principals of buildings and that all previous votes regarding salaries are rescinded on the acceptance of this motion.
