The hotel was located at the corner of Nason St. and Summer St., the site now occupied by Memorial Park. Built in 1867 by Peter Haley and operated as the Glendale House, from the "Glendale" blanket being manufactured at the Assabet Mfg. Co. mills, later renamed the Maynard House. It was variously owned by ___ Mullen, John Desmond in the 1890's and later by Martin Peterson. It was destroyed by fire in January, 1921. At that time the Town of Maynard bought the site.
