A collection of 29 yard (measuring) sticks promoting various Maynard business:

A. E. Larkin - Painter and paperhanger, active in Town affairs and served as assessor.
Maynard Coal Co., Inc. - Stick used to measure oil depth
Grossman's
Gruber Bros.
Woolworth - F . W . Woolworth bought the A . Z . Lloyd 5 & 1 0 cent store on Main Street in 1 9 1 6 and remained in business at the same spot until January 2 9 , 1 9 9 2 .
Whitmac Furniture Company - Two local entrepreneurs, Werner Machold and Ralph Whitney began selling furniture at 161 Main Street. Later moved to the Reed Block on Nason Street. Louis
Imbimbo joined them for a while. Both Werner and
Ralph went into the service in World War Two. After the war they moved the business to Acton.
