Description
This vase was purchased in 1897 from George Gutteridge, (a jeweler in Maynard) by several boarders at Mrs. Mary Martin's (widow of Warren Martin), 12 Maple St., Maynard, Mass. home.
It was presented to her by Tony Collins who drove the horse drawn fire truck in Maynard for many years.
Mrs. Martin was the step mother of Mrs. Robert Denniston, Allie Martin, and Adelbart Martin. She had one son by a previous marriage, John Roberts, who was a retired Methodist Minister.
All are buried in Glenwood Cemetery in Maynard.
