Description

The Protectograph offered a way for banks to protect themselves and their customers against forgers who would alter checks, securities, cash certificates, bills, receipts and other forms of exchange. It served as a device for printing cash amounts on checks in words.

A design Patent was submitted in 1901 and advertised 1902-24 by the G. W. Todd & Company.
