Description
This sign was on the front of the present bank building for several years until the time they started to be open on Saturdays. The Assabet Institution for Savings opened April 29, 1904, on the second floor of the Riverside Block , now Grubers. On January 18, 1939 the present bank at 17 Nason Street opened its doors. It has operated continously since 1904. On May 1, 1988, the name of the bank changed to the Middlesex Institution for Savings, having consolidated with the bank in Concord of the same name.
