A collection of artifacts from the estate of Robert and Eunice Bathwick Stuart Wilson dating from the 1860's through 1920. Robert came to Assabet from Canada in 1865 and worked in the woolen mill for 50 yrs. Eunice was born in Stow.
Two pairs of wire rimmed clip-on sunglasses. Clip-ons were first introduced in the 1940's. There are two different shapes to the lenses.
The case has imprinted on it Thos. F. Parker, Jeweler & Optician, Maynard, Mass. Not sure if this person is related to Parker Hardware family.
The glasses pinched on the nose. Geo W McNamara imprinted on the hard covered case was active as an opticians in the 1920's.
Case has label: Cambridge Optical Store, 17 Prospect St., Cambridge, Mass.
Bonschur & Holmes were in business pre-1900.
Case is not likely the original.
