The orchestra or sometimes referred as the LVL Trio was organized around 1900 and was under the direction of George Lawton. Herbert Lawton was a pianist.
Some of their appearances as gleaned from newspapers of the time include:
A reception at the parsonage Y.P.S.C.K., from The News, Jan.5,1900; the Benevolent Society of the Congregational Church supper, The News, Feb. 23, 1900; The following were all from the Maynard News:a dance party in Arlington, Feb. 3, 1915; Annual Reunion of St. Bridget's Parish, March 31, 1915; Old Folks Dance in Naylor Hall, Jan. 26, 1916; Gentlemen's Night of Women's Club in Masonic Hall, Feb. 2, 1916; and a S.M.S.K.C. dance held at Exchange Hall in South Acton, March 1, 1916. The Merchant Week Programme has the Lawton Full Orchestra listed as presenting a concert on Thursday May 17, 1900.
