Concord High School Baseball Team 1904

Frank “Jinx” Murray, standing at extreme right, was member of this team. He then went on to Tufts College where he captained the team in his Senior Year. An outstanding baseball and basketball player, he went on to become one of the most famous football coaches in the country. His teams at Marquette University were among the country’s best. He also had some excellent teams while coaching at the University of Virginia. A native Maynard son, his family lived for many years on Main Street (Hatch Family, 1970s) and was the original rectory for the Catholic Church
