Charles is buried in the family plot at the Polish cemetery, Lowell, Massachusetts.
Early information was that he, along with Alex Popicnuck, were being transferred from Camp Niantic, Connecticut to advanced Military Police training at Brasher Falls, New York, sometime in April 1943.
Sources indicated that Charles was not originally from Maynard, but had been living with his sister Ann Nowick on Harriman Court, prior to joining the Army in 1942. Address of record was Maynard. Ann is also buried in Lowell.
The portrait is on display in the Maynard Veterans' Wall of Honor in the Soup Campbell Room, Lower Level of Maynard Town Hall.
