Progressive Lodge, Knights of Pythias was instituted July 25, 1908 to promote the principles of Friendship, Charity and Benevolence. Meetings were held at the Masonic, Music and Riverside Co-operative Halls. At the meeting of July 15, 1921 a Temple of Pythian Sisters was instituted. The organization petered out during the 1940's.
