SCOTT HELPS BRING TOMORROW A GIANT STEP CLOSER

The overture begins... and then the great, gold curtains of La Scala in Milan slowly open on Act I. Thousands of miles away, all the excitement and magic of this memorable musical event are being captured through the realism of FM multiplex stereo on your own Scott music system.

Science fiction? Not really — thanks to the imagination and enterprise of Bell Laboratories' scientists. In a dramatic experiment, FM signals were sent to the Telstar Satellite orbiting in outer space. There they were successfully rebroadcast to the earth station for Communicating by Satellite at Andover, Maine. A sensitive Scott 310-D broadcast monitor tuner (rack mounted) was used by Bell Laboratories for this project.

Scott congratulates the Bell System on their spectacular achievement and is proud t o be part of this historic experiment.
