Thomas Wouldhave was the first druggist in Maynard. His store was located at the corner of Main and River Streets. Ben Johnson succeeded him and moved the store to the east end of the Maynard (Masonic) Block. Ernest Johnson was the postmaster from 1868 to 1892 having the post office in the pharmacy. H. J. Dwinell purchased the pharmacy in 1905and after a few years moved into the Creighton Block next door. Dwinell later sold to M. B. Church, who in turn sold to Ledgard, Wilson and Warren.
