The celebration began with a procession from the rectory to the church lead by James Mertz and the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. Following were altar boys and clergy: Monsignor Francis Chmaj of St. Hedwig Cambridge, Monsignor John A. Abucewicz of Holy Trinity Lowell, Fr. Anthony Jurgielewicz of Vermont, Fr. Edward Gaudette of St. Isidore Stow, Fr. Thaddeus Saja of St. Peter Norwood, Fr. Pius Dello Russo of St. Ann Marlboro, Fr. Thomas Navien of Sacred Heart Groton, and Fr. Louis S. Bilicky pastor of St. Casimir. The main celebrant was Bishop Lawrence J. Riley of Precious Blood Hyde Park.
As the procession entered the church, hymns were sung under the direction of organist Betty Saganich. Following the mass, a collation was held in the church hall.
