Maynard Dramatic Club - 1936-1972

A file folder of listings of plays and their dates of presentation by the Maynard Dramatic Club, 1936-1972. There is a 1971 Assabet Valley Beacon newspaper article written by Helen Mark Ketola that documents the history of the Maynard Dramatic Club. The Club was formed Nov. 19,1936 with William Reynolds, William Ledgard, and Hazelle Cameron. On that date, William Ledgard was named the first President and J. Leo Comeau was named Treasurer. The original membership included: William Ledgard, J. Leo Comeau, William Reynolds, Leo Mullin, Walter Denniston, Richard Elson, Huldah Nelson, Peg Martin, Hazelle Cameron, Constance Dawson, Clara Grieve, Laura Aho, and Helen Mark Ketola. Included in the file folder is information regarding the Tenth Anniversary Season of the Maynard Dramatic Club, 1946-1947. During the Tenth Season the following officers presided: Louis Fava, President; Frank Primiano, Vice-President; Helen Engelhardt, Secretary; and J. Leo Comeau, Treasurer. A MDC 10th Anniversary Dance ticket is included as well.
