Mill and Assabet River in flood
The Assabet River has breached the barrier between the river and the Mill complex. Possibly after a hurricane, but likely after the flood of the flood of the spring of 1968.
Kids off to Camp Sewataro
Marty's Taxi Service provided the transportation of this group of youngsters to Camp Sewataro on Mossman road (off Rt.117 in Sudbury). Marty Gruber is shown in the photo on the steps leading into the Bus.

Demolition of the Assabet & Middlesex House buildings at 143 Main Street. The buildings were most recently used as the Town Hall but are being destroyed to become the new Maynard Post Office.

143 Main Street - Built in 1901 by the American Woolen Company as a boarding house with 8 rooms. Sold to Town of Maynard in 1934. Used as Town Hall until 1962. U.S. Post Office built on site in 1963.

Ray's was a repair and gas station located at 76 Powder Mill Road. His father Joe Tannuzzo first started the business. He use to carry a large amount of cash on thursdays so he could cash the checks of his regular customers.
